puddles (water: 1 of 3)Posted by filipe franco (Lagoa, Azores, Portugal) on 1 May 2007 in Abstract & Conceptual. A community collaborative series based on the word "Water". Thanks to Damon for organizing this excellent theme. For those of you that didn't get to participate, hopefully this is the start of a new aminus3 tradition with many more opportunities to come.

Stu from Kyoto, JapanPuddles. Great! Love the idea and well executed. Super juxtaposition of hard dry rock and water. Well seen filipe. 1 May 2007 5:37am @Stu: Thanks Stu! badala from Leiria, PortugalOlá Filipe também fui convidada a participar no tema Water. Bronnie from New ZealandGreat eye there Filipe! I love this interpretation, the dry rock really makes the puddles seem 'wetter'!! 1 May 2007 7:51am @Bronnie: Thank you very much Bronnie! @Soodabeh: Thank you Soodabeh! @Suby and Sinem: Thank you Suby! Jason Kravitz from Brussels, BelgiumMakes for a nice abstract - good take on the theme. 1 May 2007 10:55am @Jason Kravitz: Thank you Jason, very much appreciated ! Daroru from Amagasaki, JapanHey filipe this time it was Damon! http://electro.aminus3.com/about/ Like the hard, sharp rocks surrounding those striking white puddles. 1 May 2007 1:00pm @Daroru: I thank your call of attention Daroru! Thank you for the thoughtful comments ! @Jen: Cheers Jen!:) Duncan Galbraith from Kyoto, JapanHey Filipe! As Daroru mentioned all credit goes to Damon! This was set up entirely by him! Very nice take on the theme Here Filipe, the contrast between solid and liquid and the naturally desaturated nature of the scene makes for a striking image. Nicely done. 1 May 2007 2:26pm @Duncan Galbraith: I lament my mistake Duncan, thank the correction! Thanks for your encouraging comment on my photoblog! frank from Amadora, PortugalExcelente composição, o tema também está muito bem pensado, a água é a base da vida., a foto está excelente. 1 May 2007 6:26pm @frank: Obrigado Frank pelo sincero comentário! Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesGreat sense of depth and levels. I like the way the puddles shine! 1 May 2007 7:17pm @Ken McCoy: Thank you Ken ! Appreciate your comments. Ahraht from Loures, PortugalExcelente fotografia e muito apropriada ao tema. Correm no meu Hagakure dois temas. Ambos relacionados com a água. A ver nos próximos dias. 1 May 2007 8:33pm @Ahraht: Obrigado Ahraht. Conta com a minha visita! Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaI love how when it's time to show water you turn your attention inland, away from the sea you so often show. This is the sign of a creative mind. I love the water here: they look like pools of light. Thanks for your help in making this theme a success, Filipe! 1 May 2007 11:20pm @Damon Schreiber: I was seeing your work on water and liked for the indirect form as you treated the subject. On basis of a circular form (element of tension) you develop a visual way for the viewer. On the other side, I detach your presence in the reflex that gives a symbolic sense to the work. Really nice Damon! @H.O: Thank you for your visit H.O.! Alfredo J. Martiz J. from Tokyo, JapanGreat shot Filipe, the contrast between the shiny puddles and the stone is wonderful! 2 May 2007 11:48am @Alfredo J. Martiz J.: Thank you for your kind words Alfredo! |
